The Great Lakes Heritage Coast is an important project that will protect the shoreline of Georgian Bay, Lake Huron and areas along the Killarney coastline. Ontario has identified the shoreline of the Great Lakes from southern Georgian Bay to the north shore of Lake Superior as a heritage site that must be protected forever.

This makes Killarney and the surrounding Great Lakes area that much more special and important to preserve. We are working with Killarney Provincial Park to ensure that all use of the Georgian Bay area is responsible and sustainable. Please help us with this project and ensure that you use the area wisely.
