Motor Lunch Cruise In Cyjak
|
A 25 km motor cruise to Baie Fine, northern Ontario’s famous inland fjord. See and photograph white quartzite hills; climb to Topaz Lake and swim in its clear azure waters; enjoy an unforgettable cookout lunch prepared by a wilderness guide. To return, you have the option of a comfortable chair on the boat or a 13 km conducted hike through Killarney Park to view its unique flora and ancient geological features - and a chance to spot a beaver, blue heron or a bear.
$95 per person (Cruise AL 1-2; Topaz Lake hike AL 3; Park hike AL 5)
HIKING
Some say that Killarney must have been conceived for hikers. There’s an abundance of spectacular short trails you can tackle on your own (Granite Ridge, Chikanishing, Cranberry Bog, the George Island Trail, the trail to the Killarney East Lighthouse). Our guides also conduct a more ambitious trek to Silver Peak, the fourth highest elevation in Ontario. Drive your own car to the Johnnie Lake dam, meet our outdoor leader for a three mile outboard trip, paddle Clear Silver Lake to the trailhead, and then hike to the best view in the province. You’ll be ready for your hearty packed lunch when you reach the summit.
$80 per person (AL 5)
Or join us for a day at our Johnnie Lake outpost camp. Same procedure with your car and the outboard boat to this wilderness lodge in the heart of the Park. Sand beach, swimming, sailing a 20’ Cygnus, canoes for paddling, kayaks for drifting, bass fishing, a marked trail for a hike to the lookout, a sizzling barbecue lunch. Or luxuriate under the pines and listen to the loon!
$80 per person (AL 1-3)

KAYAKING
Follow the path of the Voyageurs who first explored the rugged Georgian Bay shores. We take you and the kayaks on a Gourmet Kayak and Cruise east from Killarney in a motor cruiser to the pristine bays and inlets of Philip Edward Island. Here you’ll paddle leisurely in paradise, enjoy a succulent steak barbecue on the rocks and marvel at the mountain scenery on the cruise home.
$95 per person (AL 2-3)
Escape at the end of the day on a Sunset Kayak Cruise, a peaceful evening paddle to Killarney Bay, the best vantage point for famous Killarney sunsets. (A National Geographic feature once included this very spot as one of the top ten sunsets in the world.)
$35 per person (AL 2-3)
CANOEING
Paddle and portage with our Killarney Park Canoe Adventure on inland lakes surrounded by the La Cloche mountains (once higher than the Rockies). We drive to the Park, pick up canoes, paddle George Lake, and traverse the trail to the crystal clear waters, white quartzite cliffs and spectacular views of Killarney Lake. Topped with a refreshing swim and a tasty packed lunch.
