Chris and I continue to enjoy very much the opportunity to fly into Killarney in our Lake, land in the channel and drive up the ramp. For me, as the passenger it feels a safe haven to set down in the channel and arrive at the lodge. Each year we marvel at the beauty of the Killarney area, both from the air and by canoe/kayak and hiking.

Recently we rented one of your fishing boats for 4 days & had motor problems the third day. We called Gord & he promptly came to our camp near Portage Cove to fix our problem. He assisted my son　with a test　run of the motor to be sure it was running properly. Several weeks ago I made my annual trip to the sparkling waters of Georgian Bay. I have made this trip for 25 years with my Father and now with my wife. The purpose of the trip is to fish for big Northern Pike. We have always stayed at Killarney Mountain Lodge and made lasting friendships. This June my old friend and guide Steve Tyson and I started out the day in our rain gear (we fish rain or shine when I'm in Canada). We were trolling in a small bay that we thought might produce some good results. By the afternoon, between the 2 of us, we had hooked at least 12 Pike that weighed between 5 and 10 pounds. each. We even released another 8 or 10 each weighing over 5 pounds. Wow!! What a day!!
I'm already planning my trip for next year and hopefully will share it with my daughters and their husbands.

Just wanted to drop a line and tell you how much we enjoyed our recent stay at the lodge. I was up with two brothers and a nephew.

The Doctor from Toronto says he will definitely be back and the brother in law from Miami says it was like heaven and he will return with his wife and family! Most importantly, Spencer caught the biggest fish EVER! The cottage was good, the food was great and the staff were helpful and friendly.

It was certainly nice to see you both again and our favourite place in the world. The rest of the family said our stay was far too short. I'll remember that next time. It was nice to see familiar faces, Peggy, Bonnie and Traci. They are all so much a part of your family. As usual everything was perfect, right down to the last dill pickle!!! And we found the dinners wonderful, perfect choices and great desserts. Even little Julianna stuffed herself! It was quite amazing how long you have managed the lodge and I am sure you had your ups and downs. But it is clear it is a very special place to you and its success is evident. It is a special part of Ontario and beloved by many. It's no wonder so many artists have tried to capture its beauty. Hello Annabelle,

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how wonderful our stay at the Killarney Mountain Lodge was in August. All of the Principals, Superintendents and myself thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay! The facilities themselves were beautiful, clean and perfect, and the staff was incredible!!! All of the staff was amazing but we got the names of two that really stood out - Wes and Deborah - just awesome!! Andrew Lowe was fantastic and the principals really enjoyed listening and singing along with him. I will be talking to the Director this week to book for next year!

My wife Aileen and I had the pleasure of staying at Killarney Mountain Lodge last week to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary on August 13th.

During our stay we enjoyed two excursions, the Georgian Bay Sailing Cruise and the Johnnie Lake Escape, both great getaways guided by friendly and capable people. We had a wonderful time and loved the food and the hospitality of all the staff.
Of course I took my Nikon camera (D-200) and was captivated by my first trip to Georgian Bay and the Killarney region. This is truly a photographer's heaven on earth.

Please be so kind as to accept my submissions in the Photo Contest in the categories of landscape and human interest.

Bonnie,

I would like to thank all the staff at the Mountain Lodge for giving my husband and I such a wonderful memory. Everyone treated us as a member of the family, from Tom and John who gave us an experience to talk about with our friends, to Dave and Eileen who made our first trip on a sailing boat very enjoyable, to Steve who took us to the most breathtaking view of fall colours. We would also like to thank Maury for his kind concern our first day out. This was an experience of a life time we will never forget. I would also like to thank the staff that took care of us at meal time from the cook in the kitchen who prepared the most delicious suppers, to the wait staff, Peg, Tracy and Jocelyn who took care of us, and made sure that we had enough coffee/tea, and were very cheerful when they came to our table.

We haven't stopped talking about our holiday since we arrived home on Friday and have told anyone who will listen how enjoyable everything was.

We hope that some day soon we will be able to return.
Please keep sending me updates on the lodge as we never know we may take advantage of one of the holidays you offer in the future.

Now keep in mind that this is not something I regularly do (write letters I mean), but the whole staff that we came in contact with treated us like we were the only people there! Jocelyn couldn't have treated us better! "Wreck" our guide was outstanding, I think she has quite a future ahead of her. Rick and Evelyn, well what can you say about those two? Awesome I guess. And your staff is among your biggest assets from the wait staff who are always friendly and accommodating, to the registration staff, also very good, and to your recreation staff - very professional. What a great idea to have them go around at night to check in with everyone! And what can I say about entertainment - Andy is really good and draws everyone in! Of course, your facilities are a major plus - the pool well-kept, the gardens well-done and the lodge itself in impeccable condition. I'm always in awe of the grandeur of Killarney and surrounding areas. The vistas everywhere are a treat for the eye and the senses. The leaves on the trees and bushes were so colourful this fall; it was a joy just to drive from Killarney to the highway. Everywhere I went after that the colours seemed muted, not as brilliant.
